Brief introduction of yuyangguan town

Yuyangguan Town belongs to Wufeng Tujia Autonomous County, Yichang City, Hubei Province. Located in the southwest of Hubei Province, in the east of Wufeng Tujia Autonomous County, at the junction of two provinces (Hubei and Hunan) and four counties (Yidu, Changyang, Wufeng and Shimen in Hunan Province). Fish and sheep abound here. Built in the Yuan Dynasty, it was named Yuyangguan. It is one of the economic centers of Wufeng Tujia Autonomous County, and it is also the transportation hub for Wufeng to contact with the outside world. On 2011April14th, with the approval of the State Council, it was agreed that the resident of Wufeng Tujia Autonomous County People's Government would be moved from Wufeng Town to Yuyangguan Town. Yuyangguan Town is the "throat" artery leading to the mountainous area in western Hubei from Jianghan Plain and Three Gorges area, and is known as "Little Hankou". It is the east gate of Wufeng, the industrial center, commercial center, market center and cultural center of the county, and also a key town for small town construction and a famous tourist town in Hubei Province.
